We have newly upgraded to SAP BI 4.1 and we have converted Deski report to webi report, the reports got fully converted but we still receive error while running the report. ORA-00980: Synonym translation is no longer valid .

Desktop Intelligence *.rep Files Opening In The Same Window
Hello,
We are running BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 3.1, the version of the Desktop Intelligence client we are using is 12.7.1.2131.
A problem we have encountered is if you double-click a Desktop Intelligence document (*.rep) on a Windows 8.1 Enterprise machine, it always launches in the same instance of Desktop Intelligence that you have open.
However if you double-click a Desktop Intelligence document (*.rep) on a Windows 7 Enterprise computer it always opens a new instance of Desktop Intelligence.
Most Windows 8.1 Enterprise users want every Desktop Intelligence document to open in a new instance.
Is anyone able to advise what setting is controlling this behavior? I cannot see anything within 'Tools' -> 'Options', so I'm wondering if its a registry key.

Anyway, I was hoping someone could shed some light on a problem we have been having for several months - it was intermittant, affecting reports for a day and then the next day they would work but I am trying to run a free-hand SQL report and am getting an error everytime. Interestingly it only affects certain databases.I have been working with our Oracle DBA and he says that the "older" databases will run it but our current LIVE database (and any copied from it) won't run the report. He's tried to set the server to allocate more memory to the process and we even used a unix connection to give the session unlimited resources and ran it through an sqlplus prompt but are still getting the same error. Therefore I can only assume this is not to do with the database side but is a memory issue on the server BO resides on, or that we need to allow BO to have more resources...sorry but I am not DBA of any kind I have put the error and the SQL below

I can't convert numbers to spanish words (crtowords_es.dll)

I have Crystal Reports ver. 11 and I want use "TOWORDS" function, but I can't convert the numbers to spanish strings numbers. So, I need help to Crystal Reports 11 use "TOWORDS" function in spanish.
How can I tell Crystal Reports most use crtowords_es.dll??

My query will return all incidents opened since 2008
I want to use the filter in one tab to show only the last 3 months.

Getting error in Desktop Intelligence Login

I am sandeep, I have one question related desktop intelligence BO XIR2.
Actual i am getting error while I am login. Getting Repository error and in details showing as devinsap not found in the network.
So, any guide me what is the exact issue. Because as I have checked all the setting like, host entry, tnsnames entry, uninstall and reinstallation of BO software and even also reinstalled Oracle 9i software.
So, please help me for the same..

Another error while importing:
local file copy has failed file repository server error
I think have some desynch with repository and OS files
2 questions:
- how can I get synch with the repository ?
- what is the right procedure to backup the reposity (oracle + cold backup) ?

Compile error in hidden module: ModuleUtilitaire
One of my user is getting the error - Compile error in hidden module: ModuleUtilitaire while logon to Full Client. However it is not preventing refrshing the reports.
OS on user's computer is Windows XP Professional v2002 SP2
BO version is 6.5.1
Any in-sight on this?

Hello,
when running a report in Desktop Intelligence based on a univere on the CMS-Server (e.g. eFashion,Activity ...) I get this error:
Connection or SQL sentence error (DA0005): Exception: CS, Specified RDBMS is invalid
or
Exception: DBD, [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specifiedState: IM002
My BOE XI 3.1runs with MySQL and Tomcat on a Linux server.
Any suggestions?

How can we pilot business object by Excel VBA ?

-refresh the datas
-extract the results in another excel document

Button "download to excel" using VBA ('save as' window)
Hello everyone!
I've seen many topics on forum but my problem isn't yet solved.
I start sap-script from Excel VBA. When SAPscript is ready to download report and press yellow button, process stops and requires an user action (window "save as"). A problem arises due to the fact, that "save as" window is out of SAPscript control.
As macros works in cycle, I have to input file name and type every time.
How can I escape this action without manual operation?

Macros in Deski to be replaced in WebI 4.1
Hello Experts,
We are planning to migrate 3.1 Deski reports to WebI 4.1.
We'll first convert them to WebI 3.1 using report conversion tool and then to 4.1. Is this approach correct?
While doing so how to take care of macros written in Deski?
In some cases, Deski report has multiple tabs and each tab output falls at different location using Macros.
How to achieve this requirement in BO Webi 4.1?

BOXI R2 DeskI Freehand
Hi,
I have a report in DeskI which uses freeehand SQL. Everytime we made changes on the SQL and then export the report on the server. Once you access it in Infoview it gives a conenction error.
When I tried to import the report again and reexport without changing anything it works fine when accessed in infoview.
Does anyone encounter this before? we tried changing the connection everytime the Freehand DQL is updated however we have company standard and we cannot modify the connection with everything.
any ideas?

Error when Scheduling a Cristal Report versus an Excel Table.
The excel book is located in a folder at the Infoview server.
The report has been published at the Infoview
If I use the u2018u2019u2019viewu2019u2019u2019 link at infoview I obtain the results ok. (Iu2019m not asked for any user/pw)
But
If I try to schedule the report, I always obtain an Error, because it needs a user/pw
