For some reports I have:
The document can't be retrived from reposiroty server WIS 30951
Another error while importing:
local file copy has failed file repository server error
I think have some desynch with repository and OS files
2 questions:
- how can I get synch with the repository ?
- what is the right procedure to backup the reposity (oracle + cold backup) ?

is it OK ?

I've seen many topics on forum but my problem isn't yet solved.
I start sap-script from Excel VBA. When SAPscript is ready to download report and press yellow button, process stops and requires an user action (window "save as"). A problem arises due to the fact, that "save as" window is out of SAPscript control.
As macros works in cycle, I have to input file name and type every time.
How can I escape this action without manual operation?

We have migrated reports from version Business Objects 6.5.1 to Business Objects XI 3.1 SP2. We have been receiving sporadic 'Cannot open document (Error: INF)' now and again whenever you open Desktop Intelligence reports using Infoview. Have any other users come across this issue using BOXI 3.1 SP2. I do not believe that this issue occurred on SP1.
This error is very frustrating.
I have browsed various forums and implemented changes which have had no effect whatsoever including the SAP Marketplace.
We are also receiving SetPrompts Failed errors. When a report is opened in Infoview and you refresh a report, a blank dialog appears with a red cross. if you refresh the report again then the SetPrompts Failed error appears. I have evene made changes according to article 1364437 based on this error and this has not resolved the issue.

I am trying to refresh an existing DESKI report and getting to following error:
Connection or SQL sentence error: (DA0005)
Exception: DBD, [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specifiedState: IM002
I have recreated my ODBC connections and checked that all the servers is running under the CMC console.

Hello every body,
I've built a BO report based on many excel files (personal files). I used the range option to select a subset of data different for each excel file.I've created variables for each dataproviders.
After building my report, I tested it by refreshing it. For a few of the variables, I've got a warning such as "some of objects are different would you like to keep or display data in an other report..." and an error message: "#SYNTAX" appears for a few variables.
I've check the dataproviders. Everything is ok but It seems that it doesn't taking account the specified range of cells. I had to open the excel files to get the data as specified in the dataprovider.
Do you have any idea on the source of the problem ? How can I fixe it ?

I am new to Business Objects, so I have very basic knowledge in it. What I am looking is to create some formula like VLOOKUP and COUNTIF function as in excel.
I have two queries:
Query A: List of all old clients
ClientIDs- 123,124,124
ContactDates-01/04/2010,02/04/2010,01/04/2010
Query B: List of clients during some reporting period
ClientIDs: -123, 125,124,126
What I want to do is to identify the old clients in QueryB - and pull the Contact Dates from the Query A to query B. Also the other issue I am facing is because ClientIDs are linked, when I create some funtion it is also populating all the ClientIDs in Query B report which I don't want to happen.

Dear Folks,
I have a report on Freehand Sql migrated from BO 5.0 to BOXI R3 .This report works fine in BO 5.0 and gives proper result.
The schemas on which Query is fired is on Database Oracle 8.0 .The client used by BOXI3 server or User desk is Orcale 10g.
The query runs fine when fired from PLSQL Oracle 10 g and gives proper results.
Both, Infoview and DeskI is throwing error as 'Exception: DBD, ORA-03120: two-task conversion routine: integer overflow
Can you please help/suggest what requires to be done to get it resolved
Is there any settings which needs to be changed.

when running a report in Desktop Intelligence based on a univere on the CMS-Server (e.g. eFashion,Activity ...) I get this error:

or
Exception: DBD, [unixODBC][Driver Manager]Data source name not found, and no default driver specifiedState: IM002
My BOE XI 3.1runs with MySQL and Tomcat on a Linux server.
Any suggestions?

Hi Guys,
In a class I have an object which shows the date when a transaction was triggered and another object which gives the week number in the format wwyyyy.
I want to create a variable in the report which will give me the starting day for that particular week i.e the date that was there on Monday of that particular week.
It can be easily done by making changes in the Universe but I want to do it in the report as this is a one of report.

Is it possible to build a linked report with WebI Rich client without using InfoView?
Assume the following simple report which select some fields of a file transfer information.
TransferID Filename Transfer Status
-
1 a OK
2 b OK
3 a NOK
Now I want to click on the record with TransferID 3 and get some more information for that particular record such as:
TransferID Filename Transfer Status Date Duration
-
3 a NOK Feb 24 5
In other words, I'd like to do select of that table with the where condition "TransferID = 3" which corresponds to the record I clicked in my initial report.

hello. I would like to create a formula on two variables, with a value condition on one of them.
my vars:
enc
compliance (values = I, R)
my report is a crosstab on compliance, so it looks like this;
I___R ____Sum Enc_Enc 10__10____30
i want to compute enounters (where compliance = R) / sum of encounters (for all encounters). So in my example, it would be 10/30, or 0.33
my current forumla looks like this like =<encounters>/Sum<encounters>
but i want to subset the numerator to encounters where compliance = 'R'. how do i do that? Thanks,

Hello.
We are using the audit & Activity universe reports, but some user have asked to make a new report that is not in the packaged reports in the Audit folder.
He needs for all exisitng reports :
- report name
- date of the last refresh
- author of the last refresh
- and if possible ... the folder where is the report
They asked me too a list of all Users with their "Groups" related ...
is it possible to have report on the CMC datas ?
We are on BO XI R2 - ServicePack 5 - FixPack 5.6
